Research shows that tutoring and mentoring has a positive effect on academic achievement, and that students acquire good or bad habits based on the modeled behaviors in their environments.  Academics Unlimited, LLC Tutoring Service's goal is to help all students to build the skills that they need to be successful academically and socially.

Our tutoring approach is founded on research-based methods combined with over a decade of practical experience of educating hundreds of students from grades K-12.  We have a 5-tier approach to instruction:

• Tier 1 - Academic Evaluation  We assess student academic skills to determine strengths and weaknesses. The core subjects assessed during this evaluation are mathematics and reading.

• Tier 2 - Result Analysis  Assessment results are reviewed and an academic plan is developed.

• Tier 3 - Academic Plan  An outline of subjects that will be created as the focus of tutoring for each child. This plan will be shared with the parents and a schedule will be finalized to meet your child's needs.

• Tier 4 - Tutoring  Tutoring will begin at your child's academic level to maximize his or her potential for academic success.

• Tier 5 - School/Teacher Collaboration  By working collaboratively we will keep your child's teacher informed of his or her progress and discuss any areas of concern.

There will be several mathematical areas that we will work on with your child. Foundational skills, effective note taking and study skills. Students will engage in a non-fearful learning environment that will help them to build confidence in their learning abilities.
